Where do OT services take place?
Initial evaluations, direct therapy, and coaching is available to families in the greater Baltimore region. These services can take place in your home and/or in the community, depending on your specific needs.
Are you accepting new clients?
Yes. We currently have availability to work with new clients on Mondays and Fridays.
I have multiple kids with special needs. Can you see them for OT together?
Each child will have an individualized treatment plan and goals tailored to their specific needs. While back-to-back sessions may be available, we do not offer group therapy at this time.
Do you accept insurance?
We only accept private pay for our services. This means that we do not work with insurance companies or other third-party payment providers. This allows us to offer more personalized and flexible care, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service without the limitations of insurance protocols. We can provide documentation if you need to submit for reimbursement directly to your insurance provider.

Laura Karp, OTD, MS OTR/L, MS Ed. is the founder of Be More Occupational Therapy. She is a passionate, energetic pediatric OT dedicated to helping others achieve independence. Laura specializes in working with clients with autism, Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, ADHD & developmental delay.
Laura received her M.S. in Education from Johns Hopkins University and her M.S. in Occupational Science from Towson University. She earned her post-professional doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Temple University, where she studied the transition into adulthood for people with disabilities. She was recently interviewed on The Post-Secondary Transition Podcast. Laura is passionate about making the world a better, more inclusive place for people of all abilities.
Laura is an expert in special education and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). She taught in Baltimore City and has worked with students in K-21 comprehensive and self-contained programs across the state of Maryland as a pediatric occupational therapist.
As an OT and independent Master IEP Coach, she has worked with hundreds of families to develop client-centered IEPs with realistic, functional, and meaningful goals. Laura’s favorite occupations include running, reading, volunteering, and spending time with family.
